Description

In 2015, only 72% of pregnant women with HIV followed at the Grady Ponce de Leon Center returned for postpartum care within a three-month period of time. This workshop will describe actions taken to increase the number of women who kept their postpartum (fourth trimester) and ID appointments.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe ways to eliminate barriers for postpartum women with HIV to remaining in HIV care.
  2. Explain the importance of the 4th trimester for women and their babies.
  3. Explain the benefits of OB care and HIV care providers coordinating linkage to care activities.
