Users are urged to consult the map tutorial (and read HepVu Releases 2021 Opioids and Hepatitis C Mortality Data) before diving in. For example, the tutorial provides an explanation of the map's health indicators as follows:

- Hepatitis C Mortality: Highlights areas with Hepatitis C-related mortality.
- Opioid Prescription Usage: Displays opioid prescription rates in different regions.
- Overdose Mortality: Provides insights into rates of narcotic-related mortality.
- Pain Reliever Misuse: Provides insights into the prevalence of pain reliever misuse across geographic areas.
