ShareSpot: Rifampin Drug-Drug Interactions with Newer Antiretrovirals

From the AETC NCRC - This issue of AETC ShareSpot discuss drug interactions between rifampin (used in tuberculosis treatment) and a some newer antiretrovirals and how these interactions have the potential to hinder antiretroviral therapy (ART). Three studies from CROI 2018 are summarized for the antiretroviral medications Tenofovir alafenamide, Bictegravir, and Dolutegravir.
